The government has launched a £288m Green Heat Network Fund to provide support for green heating projects as part of their commitment to clean growth and efforts to combat climate change.
“Schemes that will deliver clean heating to homes, offices, commercial and public buildings will be able to apply for grants to the Green Heat Network Fund over the next three years”
Low carbon technologies such as heat pumps, solar and geothermal energy will be supported by the fund as they provide a cost-effective way of reducing carbon emissions and offer a cleaner and more efficient way of heating homes and buildings.
The fund can provide up to 50% of the estimated cost of a project with an upper limit of £1m for commercialisation support.
Applications for the Green Heat Network Fund (GHNF) will be open on 14th March 2022.
